The “International Property Maintenance Code, 2018 Edition”, published by the International Code Council, Inc., and all amendments, supplements and appendices thereto, is hereby incorporated by reference and made apart hereof as if fully set out herein save and except certain parts, sections or portions thereof specifically referred to and omitted there from or as amended or modified herein. The “Standard Code” or “Property Maintenance Code” hereinafter referred to in this section is the “International Property Maintenance Code, 2018 Edition”, of the International Code Council Inc., 500 New Jersey Avenue, NW 6th Floor Washington DC 20001,and is hereby incorporated by reference as the Property Maintenance Code of the City of Ottawa, Kansas.

The following are the revisions to the International Property Maintenance Code adopted in Section 6-402:
Section 101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the International Property Maintenance Code of the City of Ottawa, hereinafter referred to as “this code.”
Section 103.2 Appointment. The code official shall be appointed by the chief appointing authority of the jurisdiction. Delete this section in its entirety.
Section 103.3 Deputies. In accordance with the prescribed procedures of this jurisdiction and with the concurrence of the appointing authority, the code official shall have the authority to appoint a deputy code official, other related technical officers, inspectors and other employees. Such employees shall have power as delegated by the code official. Delete this section in its entirety.
Section 103.5 Fees. The fees for activities and services performed by the department in carrying out its responsibilities under this code shall be as indicated in the following schedule. (Jurisdiction to insert appropriate schedule). Delete this section in its entirety.
