6-1002. International energy conservation code; adopted.

The “International Energy Conservation Code, 2018 Edition”, published by the International Code Council, Inc., and all amendments and supplements thereto, is hereby incorporated by reference and made a part hereof as if fully set out herein save and except certain parts, sections or portions thereof specifically referred to and omitted there from or as amended or modified herein. The “Standard Code” or “Energy Conservation Code” hereinafter referred to in this section is the “International Energy Conservation Code, 2018 Edition”, of the International Code Council Inc., 500 New Jersey Avenue, NW 6th Floor Washington DC 20001, and is hereby incorporated by reference as the Energy Conservation Code of the City of Ottawa, Kansas.

6-1010. Amendments and supplements.

The following are the revisions to the International Energy Conservation Code adopted in Section 6-1002 of the Municipal Code:

Substitute “code official” with “Chief Building Official” throughout the entire code.

Section C101.1 Title. This code shall be known as the International Energy Conservation Code of the City of Ottawa and shall be cited as such. It is referred to herein as “this code.”

Section C107.2 Fees. A fee for each permit shall be paid as required, in accordance with the schedule as established by resolution adopted by the governing body. (Delete this section).

Section C107.5 Refunds. The Chief Building Official is authorized to establish a refund policy.

Section 109 Board of Appeals. Delete this section in its entirety.
